AMD’s Boost to Epic MegaGrants $100 Million Program

Epic Games announced that AMD has boosted the Epic MegaGrants program with a generous contribution of 200 AMD Ryzen™ 7 3800X desktop processors. These processors are to be given out to new and existing program grant recipients.

With no deadline to apply for one of these units, it is good to note that the hardware is available on a first-come basis, based on project merit. This applies to creators across games, entertainment, architecture, and any other related industries.

“AMD is excited to contribute to the Epic MegaGrants program by leveraging the power of 3rd Gen Ryzen desktop processors for content creators around the world.”

“3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ processors set a new standard in content creation with award-winning performance and features. We are excited to see what new levels of creativity and productivity will be unlocked with the AMD Ryzen™ 7 3800X.” said Ritche Corpus, senior director of ISV gaming and software at AMD.

This follows Magic Leap’s April 2019 pledge to support the Epic MegaGrants program with spatial computing hardware of which 66 recipients have already received Magic Leap 1 devices to date. There are a total of 129 devices reserved for distribution.
