All About BarCamp Orlando
According to the rules of BarCamp, the first rule at this Orlando event will be to contribute in one way or another.
This could be anything from giving a talk to sharing a demo. One could also get involved by planning a session, welcoming guests, handling registrations or just about anything that could be of use during a conference.
BarCamp Orlando is a part of Orlando Tech Week which will be held from April 18 to 24. Orlando Tech Week will feature far more events. If you are in the area it will be worth checking that out as well.
The unique thing about BarCamp Orlando is that the schedule of the day is not pre-set. The speakers and the roster will be set that morning starting at 9.30am. Each presentation will have 25 minutes ideally leaving the last 5 minutes as a Q&A session.
For the early birds, T-shirts will be available obviously on a first come first served basis while stocks last. There will be a lunch break from 12.00 noon upto 1.00pm when talks resume. The sessions end by 6.00pm which opens the door the after-party.
With all that said the main venue of this year’s event will be the Church Street Exchange Building starting at 9:30am! Depending on the turn out there will be other close-by venues in addition to Canvs and The Iron Yard.
