GCC 10.2 Release has Been Announced for General Availability

The GNU project and the GCC developers have announced the GCC 10.2 Release for general availability. This release is primarily a bug-fix release. It contains bug fixes also for regressions in GCC 10.1 relative to previous releases of GCC.

Here are a few of the major highlights that have come in this GCC release. In terms of new languages and language-specific improvements, version 2.6 of the OpenACC specification is now supported in the C, C++ and Fortran compilers.

There are a number of newly implemented OpenMP 5.0 features on top of the GCC 9 release. OpenMP and OpenACC now support offloading to AMD Radeon (GCN) GPUs.

One significant bug fix includes an ABI incompatibility between C++14 and C++17 has beeing fixed.
