To boot which can also be stated as “to boot up”, is the process of starting up a computing device and loading the operating system into the computer’s main memory or random access memory (RAM). At which point the device will be ready for users to run applications.
In the case of a reboot, it means reloading the operating system by restarting the computing devices or by using the hardware power control programmatically.
