Posted: February 10, 2022 | by Michael Bright

Cascading Style Sheets or CSS is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a HyperText Markup Language (HTML) document or other markup languages such as XHTML, XML, SVG, and XUL. The goal of CSS is to separate presentation and content resulting in better accessibility, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.

CSS is a core technology of the World Wide Web, together with HTML and JavaScript. The current mainstream version is CSS 3.
