A content management system, commonly known as CMS is a type of computer software used to manage the creation and modification of digital content management. A content management system can be installed on-premises or be cloud-based. Examples of on-premises or self-hosted CMS solutions include WordPress.org, Drupal, Joomla, etc. Cloud-based CMS solutions that operate as a service on the vendors’ infrastructure include WordPress.com, SquareSpace, WIX, etc.
