A hyperlink or link in computing is a reference placed in a user interface to a web resource that the user can access by clicking or tapping. They can link to websites, documents or web pages, elements or sections within a document, or a resource on a device such as launching a mail client.
A hyperlink consists of the actionable Uniform Resource Locator (URI) and the readable text or element called the anchor text.
