HyperText Markup Language, better known as HTML is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It is therefore the most widely used programming (markup) language on the World Wide Web to develop web pages and HTML documents. HyperText Markup Language was created by Berners-Lee in late 1991. HTML elements that are used to define how web pages are displayed are the basis of HTML documents.
