Virtual reality, also known as VR is a simulated experience in a virtual environment that can be similar or completely different from the real world. This environment can be distributed through the use of either VR headsets or multi-projected environments to generate realistic images, sounds, and other sensations that simulate a user’s physical presence in the virtual environment. One example, with a virtual headset, the user has to physically turn their head to look around the virtual world.
Prominent fields that make use of Virtual reality include entertainment, most notably video games, education such as medical or military training, and business such as virtual meetings, presentations in the architectural or real estate industries.
