A web browser more commonly referred to as a browser is an application software for accessing the World Wide Web. Generally, a user requests a web page from a particular website by typing in the website’s URL or clicking a link from another source from any program that is connected to the Internet. The web browser then retrieves the necessary content from a web server and then displays the page on the user’s device. Popular browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera among others.
