The Last Guardian is an action-adventure video game developed by genDesign and SIE Japan Studio. It is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
This single-player game was released worldwide on December 6th, 2016.
Highlights of the Last Guardian
The video game is played from a third-person perspective. The player is a little boy who has to befriend and manipulate Tico, a half rat, half-bird giant creature. This can be done with food rewards. The game sees them off on a far journey while trying to evade enemies.
The creature is driven by instinct apart from when being manipulated by the young child. The gameplay may be been old-fashioned and the pace of the gameplay as well. It leaves the player with a lot of time trying to figure out the next move. This may not be ideal for today’s gamers who tend to be impatient.
As the game proceeds the player is able to better control Tico as he tends to him by feeding, removing spears stuck in his side, and carrying on as a companion.
The game may not be the most action-packed game we have seen this year nor is it the best looking graphically but is the sort of game that takes time to grow on you but once it does it can be really addictive.
