Games company Nekki announced that its physics-based character animation software Cascadeur open beta-test (OBT) is now available and free for commercial use.
This program opens Cascadeur to a wide user base to be able to test and evaluate the next major version. What’s more, any animations created with Cascadeur’s new beta version may be used commercially without license fees.
Over the past one year, more than 18,000 users have participated in the closed beta-test of Cascadeur. These include animators from game development and movie production studios.
In January 2020, Nekki and Cascadeur were nominated for the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards in the “Best Innovation” and “Best Tool Provider” categories. Keep in mind this is an unreleased product.
