Poco 1.7.8 Release is now Available for Download

POCO 1.7.8 Release has been announced for immediate availability as a maintenance release bringing in improvements and bug fixes.

POCO is is an open source C++ class library which is used to develop a network and Internet-based applications. These applications can run on multiple platforms including Desktop, Servers, Mobile and Embedded devices.

This release comes on the day Twelve years after the initial release back in 2005. POCO uses standard ANSI C++ and is designed to use little or no external dependencies. It is written in modern code and is modular in design.

Highlights of the POCO 1.7.8 Release

First, off zlib, SQLite, PCRE, and double-conversion libraries have been updated to their latest versions. MongoDB library has also gotten some improvements as well as some bug fixes. Net and Zip libraries have also gotten the same treatment in having being improved and a couple of fixes.

Other fixes can be found in the Client WebSocket Handshake and URI encoding. Alpine 3.4 gets a bug fix. The build failure in OS X 10.12 SDK has been fixed as well as issues with Latin2ncoding fixes and an issue with IPv6.
