The Qt Company has announced the release of Qt 5.6.2 for immediate availability. The framework comes with bug fixes and updates and generally does not introduce new features.
Qt is a framework for developing software applications across several platforms and operating systems. It is ideal for developing on Mobile, PCs and embedded devices. The use of C++, QML and JavaScript are the primary development languages when using this framework.

This release primarily fixes a number of security issues and bugs in various modules. It also employs performance improvements and corrections across the board.
You can get the update through the online installer, using the Qt maintenance tool or using the offline packages which are available for commercial users in the Qt Account portal. Open source users can also get a copy from the qt.io download page.
