Qt Design Studio 1.6 Beta Release With Transitions Effects

Qt Design Studio 1.6 Beta release has been announced and is available for use in development or testing environments. This release which comes with new features and improvements continues to receive updates that help fix issues around bugs and stability enhancements.

Qt Design Studio is a UI design and development tool that enables designers and developers to rapidly prototype and develop complex UIs while encouraging collaboration between the two a lot simpler and more streamlined.

Some of the highlights in this new version include the new transition editor that allows editing transitions between states with a graphical interface similar to timeline animations without writing QML. 3D effects are now supported on the Qt Quick 3D view. They can be added using drag-and-drop. These include effects like Emboss, Brush Stokes, Gaussian Blur, and Motion Blur.

Rich text annotations are now supported some of the items you can add to annotations include lists, tables, and formatted text.

The free community version though available does not come with Photoshop and Sketch bridges.

The Beta of the Qt Design Studio 1.6 Community Edition can be found here while the commercial version is available under Preview > Qt Design Studio 1.6-beta1 in the online installer.
