Rackspace Email Settings for Connecting Mail Clients

This guide will help you to access your Emailsrvr.com (Rackspace Email Hosting) account from a desktop email client or mobile device using IMAP, POP, and SMTP Rackspace email settings.

The configuration parameters shared in this tutorial should work with any email client that supports the IMAP, POP, and SMTP protocols.

The convenience of using an email client to access Rackspace Email Hosting means that you are not forced to use Emailsrvr.com’s webmail interface to access your emails. Some of the more common email programs include Airmail, Apple Mail, Mailspring, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.

Using Desktop email applications can improve your workflow with more business targetted features and options that you would get with webmail interfaces. With Desktop clients, your email is still available on your computer when you’re disconnected from the Internet.

Rackspace IMAP Settings

With Rackspace IMAP, you have the ability to not only receive but enjoy two-way syncing of your Rackspace email account inbox and the related folders. IMAP is ideal if you need to access your emails from multiple devices such as Outlook, mobile phone, webmail, etc.

  • Port: 995
  • Requires SSL: Yes
  • Username: [Your full email address]
