The LA-based game publisher Riot Games hacked, directly impacted its ability to publish upcoming patches for League of Legends and Valorant.
Riot Games said in a statement “Unfortunately, this has temporarily affected our ability to release content. While our teams are working hard on a fix, we expect this to impact our upcoming patch cadence across multiple games,”.
Riot Games, the video game developer and publisher behind the popular games League of Legends and Valorant announced in a Twitter thread on Friday night with more details to be availed to customers as more details are discovered during the course of investigations.
The company said in a statement, “Earlier this week, systems in our development environment were compromised via a social engineering attack”.
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena and Teamfight Tactics auto battler game.
