Slackware 15.0 ARM 32bit With Updated Hardware Model

Slackware 15.0 ARM 32bit is the 3rd official port of Slackware to the ARM architecture. Its baseline architecture is ARMv7-a Therefore it is supported on systems with an ARMv7 CPU and higher.

Slackware Linux founded by Patrick Volderding, was first seen in 1993. This makes Slackware the oldest Linux distribution that is still being actively maintained.

This Slackware Linux release has boosted performance due to the offloading floating-point operations into the hardware therefore not all hardware models are compatible with this release.

Users wanting to upgrade to Slackware 15.0 ARM 32bit can check compatibility by running this command:

$ uname -m
armv7l

If your machine reports an ARMv7 architecture, there’s a good chance that it can be upgraded to Slackware 15.0.
You can check for supported Hardware Models and their installation guides here: https://docs.slackware.com/slackwarearm:inst_sa32_rel_15.0

As for users running a community-supported device, you can check their documentation as they may have a different documented upgrade path.
