Quick Look at Star Citizen Space Flight Simulation Game

Star Citizen is a space flight simulation video game developed by  Cloud Imperium Games also the producers of Squadron 42. Other developers are Foundry 42, Behaviour Interactive and IllFonic.

The game is published by Cloud Imperium Games and directed by it founder Chris Roberts. Star Citizen built on a modified version of CryEngine for Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms. The video game will also support VR technology.

Star Citizen is a mash-up of space trading and combat simulator and first-person shooter elements in a massively multiplayer online game. It supports single-player and multiplayer modes.

The Highlights of Star Citizen

Hot on the heels of the shortcomings of No Man’s Sky, this space flight simulator game is in a place where it needs to get everything right or face the wrath of gamers from all over the world.

A demo of Star Citizen was showcased at GamesCom 2016. From what we gather is the elements in the game are all “real” There are no faked elements in terms of backdrops and levels to represent certain situations. Example would be taking an elevator down a building. The elevator would physically traverse all the floors. This is something that really does not happen in traditional video games.

The universe in Star Citizen is also persistent. All players can interact with each other and actions of one character are experienced by all the players. The graphics in the game are stunning as is the nature of CryEngine. All features of the game engine are present in this simulation game.

Star Citizen is about you the player interacting with his surroundings in a dynamic economy system. The player will expect to trade on various commodities and goods. He will be expected to do a little of mining and interacting with game elements and other players. There will also be plenty of combat in the game as not everyone is as docile as you. There is also a drop-in co-operative multiplayer campaign titled Squadron 42.

The gameplay will be directed by the player actions with a few scripted elements to create control on what happens in the overall universe. The game has not been released yet.
