Microsoft Releases Visual Studio 2015 Update 3

Microsoft has announced the final release of Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 as well as Team Foundation Server 2015 Update 3.

Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE). It is used for the development of computer applications, libraries, drivers, and services primarily for Windows. It also used to develop websites, web applications, and web services.

Built-in programming languages that come with Visual Studio include C, C++, and C++/CLI (Visual C++), VB.NET (Visual Basic .NET), C# (Visual C#) and F#. Other languages can be used via language services. These include Python, Ruby, Node.js and more. Others are XML/XSLT, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript and CSS. Java and J# are no longer supported.

Visual Studio Team Foundation Server is the collaboration platform at the core of Microsoft’s application lifecycle management (ALM) solution.

Highlights of Visual Studio 2015 Update 3

Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 now includes Tools for Apache Cordova Update 10 with a requirement of a minimum of Cordova 5.x or later to add plugins.

There are now a bunch of improvements in Developer Analytics Tools now at version 7.0.2. These include tools for finding trends in your app’s telemetry, diagnostic Tools events, and support for adding Application Insights to ASP.NET projects.

Diagnostic Tools support for apps running on OneCore devices, such as HoloLens and IOT now available. There are various C++ (This includes C++17 features) edit and continue as well as XAML UI Debugging improvements.

Several enhancements have been implemented in the Tools for Universal Windows apps. .NET Native for Universal Windows Apps gets some bug fixes and performance improvements. New Node.js Tools 1.2 RC is now available with faster ES6 Intellisense, reliable debugging and improved Unit Testing.

Support for the latest Android NDK version R11C is now available, a new version of TypeScript 1.8.34 and integrated Clang 3.8 release. Xamarin 4.1 is now included.
