Khronos recently announced that the much anticipated Vulkan 1.0 will not be released before this year is done.
Why is that important? Because many have been eagerly waiting for the release of the new set of graphics APIs Vulkan.
A few things in the works are the completion of the Windows, Linux and Android SDKs as well as conformance tests and drivers development. With all these comes the legal side of things that need a review on the final specification.
We will be letting you know when Vulkan 1.0 is released. That notwithstanding you can visit the Khronos website and get the details on this next generation high-performance graphics and compute set of APIs.
