Microsoft Ends Windows 10 Version 2004 (May 2020 Update) Support

Microsoft officially ends Windows 10 version 2004 (also known as May 2020 Update) support as of December 14, 2021. With that, Windows 10 version 2004 users are now being nudged to upgrade to a more recent, or better yet, the latest version of the operating system.

Those with devices running the May 2020 Update will see a notification on the Windows Update page in the Settings app as well as in the taskbar within the system tray on the right. This message warns users that support for their operating system has ended and they must upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10 to keep receiving support.

If your device is configured to get updates, depending on your situation or circumstances only known to Microsoft, you might be offered the May 2021 Update or the November 2021 Update.
