Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a protocol for network management. Generally it is used on Internet Protocol (IP) networks to provide convenient, automatic, and central management for the distribution of IP addresses within a network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition it provides users with the convinience of not configuring the subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS settings manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
