The immediate release of MariaDB 10.1.14 Stable has been announced for general availability. This new version comes with several improvements and bug fixes alike.<\/p>\n
MariaDB<\/a> is an open source drop-in replacement database<\/a> for Oracle<\/a>‘s MySQL<\/a>. It is available in all major platforms and supports several storage engines among other features.<\/p>\n First off, notable changes in MariaDB 10.1.14 Stable include the updating of XtraDb and InnoDB storage engines. The Engines now used are XtraDB-5.6.29-76.2 and InnoDB-5.6.30. The Performance Schema updated to 5.6.30.<\/p>\n Another important thing to note is that support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 has been dropped.<\/p>\n Also updated is the repositories for Debian “Sid” and the new release Ubuntu 16.04 “Xenial”. These now use the new SHA2 GPG signing key.\u00a0 SHA1 keys now post warnings.<\/p>\n The rest of the changes in this new MariaDB are bug fixes and performance improvements across the board.
