AMD has announced the immediate availability of the Radeon <\/a>Software Crimson <\/a>Edition update version 16.8.1 release.<\/p>\n Radeon Software Crimson Edition is the new graphics software for AMD’s new Radeon graphics processing units<\/a> (GPUs). The software was designed to be user-friendly with improved functionality and better control with new features, better performance and stability improvements.<\/p>\n First off the Radeon Software Crimson Edition comes with a new AMD CrossFire profile available for the F1 2016. It also introduces support for the Radeon RX 470 Graphics card as well as the Radeon RX 460 GPU.<\/p>\n There are also quite a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements such as the max memory overclock on Radeon RX 480 being too low in Radeon WattMan having been fixed. Also the Overwatch problem with experiencing an application crash on some Radeon RX 480 configurations.<\/p>\n Low performance on the DOTA2 when in AMD CrossFire mode and faulty reporting of the correct Vulkan driver or API version information have also been fixed.<\/p>\n The problem with Firefox crush may crash when hardware <\/a>acceleration is enabled for content playback in some cases. Low frame rates experienced in Wolfenstein and The Old Blood on Radeon RX 480 is now fixed.<\/p>\n There still a number of known issues which have been highlighted here<\/a>.<\/p>\nHighlights of Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.8.1<\/h2>\n
