{"id":3136,"date":"2016-09-02T12:02:07","date_gmt":"2016-09-02T16:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/?p=3136"},"modified":"2016-09-02T12:02:07","modified_gmt":"2016-09-02T16:02:07","slug":"llvm-3-9-release-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/llvm-3-9-release-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"LLVM 3.9 Release has Been Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The free and open source LLVM 3.9 release has been announced for general availability and can now be downloaded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/llvm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LLVM <\/a>is a collection of modular and reusable compiler and toolchain technologies commonly used with the <a href=\"\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/clang\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clang <\/a>front end.<\/p>\n<h2>Highlights of the LLVM 3.9 Release<\/h2>\n<p>There are a host of bug fixes and improvements that have made it into the LLVM. There is new libstdc++ ABI compatibility as well as support for all OpenCL 2.0 and all non-offloading OpenMP 4.5 features.<\/p>\n<p>There is improved ELF linking with lld, identical code folding and initial LTO support in lld.
