The release comes with some improvements, fixes and a few new additions.<\/p>\n<p>CMake is an open-source build system that manages the build process in an operating system and in a compiler-independent manner. It works in conjunction with the native build system. It generates native build environments that will compile source code, create libraries, generate wrappers and build executables.<\/p>\n<h2>Highlights of the new CMake 3.7.0<\/h2>\n<p>CMake 3.7.0 supports Cross Compiling for Android with simple toolchain files while the <a href=\"\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/clang\/\">Clang <\/a>compiler is now supported on AIX. There are also new features in the &#8220;Ninja&#8221; generator. The &#8220;Visual Studio 15&#8221; generator has been added as an experimental feature.<\/p>\n<p>There are also new commands, variables, properties and modules with this version of CMake.
