Therefore you would need to take one or two extra steps to show them in a structured manner. With that, today&#8217;s quick tip will cover the process of adding the <a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/woocommerce\/\">WooCommerce <\/a>product categories to the <a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/wordpress\/\">WordPress<\/a> menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress is open-source software that allows you to create websites, blogs, or web applications with minimal effort and without reinventing the wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It supports eCommerce applications as well and one of the most popular plugins that allow you to run your eCommerce website is WooCommerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips to Adding the WooCommerce Product Categories to the Menu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>WordPress comes with a built-in interface to manage your navigation menus. It can be accessed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Going to the admin menu and then selecting <strong>Appearance &gt; Menus<\/strong>.<br><br><a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/access.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"333\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3976\" src=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/access.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/access.jpg 333w, http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/access-302x272.jpg 302w, http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/access-189x170.jpg 189w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/a><br><\/li><li>You then need to either create a new menu by clicking on &#8220;<strong>create a new menu<\/strong>&#8221; or select one from the Select menu marked &#8220;<strong>Select a menu to edit:<\/strong>&#8220;<br><a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/menu.jpg\"><\/a><\/li><li>Under the type of menu items to add a section, you should be able to see &#8220;<strong>Product Categories<\/strong>&#8221; listed. Select it. and choose the &#8220;<strong>View All<\/strong>&#8221; tab just above it. You now have access to all the Product categories.<\/li><li>Select the categories you wish to add to the menu and click the &#8220;<strong>Add to Menu<\/strong>&#8221; button. You should then see the &#8220;<strong>Menu Structure<\/strong>&#8221; updated on the right-hand side. You can drag each item up and down to sort them to your liking.<br>The menu Structure also allows you to change items such as the Label, the link target, the <a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/css\/\">CSS<\/a> styling and more. These are beyond the scope of this guide so we will not go into them right now.<\/li><li>When you are done Click on the blue &#8220;<strong>Save Menu<\/strong>&#8221; button to make your changes active.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bonus:<\/strong> There may be cases where the &#8220;<strong>Product Categories<\/strong>&#8221; do not appear under the menu items selection panel. To get it to show up you simply need to scroll to the top of the page and click the &#8220;<strong>Screen Options<\/strong>&#8221; link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will slide the box panel with options that can be activated by checking.
