One of those preferences is how the <a href=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/tag\/operating-systems\/\">operating system<\/a> handles what the user can see when dragging or resizing windows.&nbsp;Windows 10 can hide window contents by showing an outline border of a window you are dragging instead of the contents of the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You the user have full control over which option you want to use. The following guide will show you how it is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Show or Hide Window Contents While Dragging or Resizing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Press the <strong>Windows Start + R<\/strong> hotkeys on your keyboard. This causes the Run dialog to appear on the screen. Enter the following command into the <strong>Open<\/strong> combo and press <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>SystemPropertiesAdvanced<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"399\" height=\"206\" src=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/systemspropertiesadvanced.jpg\" alt=\"SystemsPropertiesAdvanced\" class=\"wp-image-8228\" srcset=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/systemspropertiesadvanced.jpg 399w, http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/systemspropertiesadvanced-320x165.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/System-Properties-357x405.jpg\" alt=\"System Properties\" class=\"wp-image-8229\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. The above action will cause the <strong>Advanced System Properties<\/strong> to open. Go to the <strong>Advanced<\/strong> tab and press the Settings button in the <strong>Performance<\/strong> section. This will open the Performance Options dialog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Performance-Options-282x405.jpg\" alt=\"Performance Options\" class=\"wp-image-8230\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3. From the four radio buttons select the <strong>Custom:<\/strong> option then from the checkboxes below deselect <strong>Show window contents while dragging<\/strong> to hide window contents or check it show the window contents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Press <strong>OK<\/strong> to save and close all the open dialogs and that&#8217;s it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enable or Disable Contents From the Registry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The same actions above can be achieved by editing the registry directly though this is not desirable for most users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Press the <strong>Windows Start + R<\/strong> hotkeys on your keyboard. Enter the following command into the <strong>Open<\/strong> combo and press <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>Regedit<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Go to the following Registry key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><code>HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Control Panel\\Desktop<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/local.brightwhiz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Registry-Editor-630x405.jpg\" alt=\"Registry Editor Show or Hide Window Contents\" class=\"wp-image-8231\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3.
