Binwalk v2.1.1 has been released for general availability and is available from devttys0.<\/p>\n
Binwalk is a tool for analyzing, reverse engineering, and extracting firmware images that is fast and easy to use.<\/p>\n
Binwalk v2.1.1 is primarily written in Python programming language therefore Python 2.7 – 3.x it must be installed on your computer. For those using Python 2.x the python-lzma module dependency is required. pyqtgraph is also required for generating graphs and visualizations.<\/p>\n
You can find the detailed installation instruction here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Binwalk v2.1.1 comes with new and improved file signatures. Also included is a number of bug fixes. The Capstone Engine is now used for disassembly scans. C library dependencies have been removed making this release a pure Python tool.
