Mozilla announced a significant restructuring of Mozilla Corporation with one of the measures being they are laying off around 250 of their employees as well as closing up their Taipei, Taiwan operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tough economic conditions resulting from the global COVID-19 pandemic have significantly impacted revenue resulting in tough measures including a significant reduction in the workforce by approximately 250 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-COVID-19 plans for 2020 involved building a better internet by creating new kinds of value in Firefox<\/a>, investing in innovation, and creating new products, adjusting organization finances to ensure stability over the long term. However, these pre-COVID plans are no longer workable because of the aforementioned reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
