This third-person shooter can be played in either single-player or multiplayer modes. It is the fourth game of the Mass Effect franchise that features interstellar open-world gameplay. The game is based on the Frostbite 3 game engine.
The Workings of Mass Effect Andromeda
As its name suggests the game sees the player in the far distant galaxy of Andromeda. This is a time in the late 22nd century where humans leave our trusty Milky Way galaxy for a one-way 600 year trip to the Andromeda Galaxy. These events take place between the second and third installments of this video game.
The game kicks off with the player who assumes the role of one of the twin siblings, Scott or Sara Ryder, an inexperienced military recruit who wakes up just in time for events to turn ugly. Well, that’s because like any long voyage there is a plan. This plan was to build a colony, with governments and diplomacy from a pool of 20,000 participants in the Andromeda Initiative.
Like any good interstellar game, there is an emphasis on exploration, great scenery, and combat. There are other human migrants and other alien races to contend with as well and of course disaster with seen and unseen forces in space and technology malfunctions. This is a cocktail sure to make for interesting gameplay packed with fun and adventure.
