The Qt Company has announced the release of the Qt 5.7.1 Release for general availability. This version comes with several bug fixes and improvements plus additional features.
Qt is a software development framework for creating cross-platform applications across different media where it is touted with a write once compile everywhere paradigm. Qt applications can be built primarily using C++, QML and JavaScript programming languages. To an extent, one can also leverage Python.
What’s new With the Qt 5.7.1 Release
This version comes with a brand new version of Qt Creator 4.2, the best Qt IDE out there. In addition to the new IDE, there are several bug fixes and improvements across several modules which most notably include the Qt Quick Controls 2, the QtWebEngine among others. For those developers using the online installer, Qt 5.7.1 Release can be updated using the maintenance tool. Offline packages are also available for commercial users via the Qt Account portal and at the official download page for the open-source users.
