X-Plane 11.50 Release has been announced for general availability. This release comes with support for the new Vulkan renderer
This new version has been in public beta for months but now official as the first stable version that makes use of the Vulkan renderer over the aging OpenGL renderer used in previous versions. This move promises far much better GPU performance.
X-Plane franchise of flight simulators by Laminar Research. The packages in the franchise cover a host of platforms from Desktops, to iOS and Android. It comes in both professional and hobbyist flavors. It supports 3rd party add-ons for Mac, Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms.
This release and subsequent ones are being made available as a rolling incremental release.
